LOVE this breed. we were at a dog park and were introduced to a Lagotto Romagnolo. We have standard poodles. would love to learn more and maybe add a pup to our family.

I think I just adopted a Laggotto from the Sacramento CA. S.P.C.A. they had her listed as a poodle mix, but she shows every sign of the Laggotto, is there any way of knowing for sure either way?
Dot's is one of the smartest dogs I have ever been owned by, she is about 5yo, and was rescued from an animal horder who keep the dogs/cats in a garage and just feed and watered them. She now has a great life runs plays and is housenbroken in less than 3 days, andy help would be great.

Hi-we are friends of the Lohmillers and met Carlo yesterday-we have a golden retriever-Barley-who is 11 and half-she is a very special dog- a therapy dog with me at Children"s Hospital-we loved Carlo and are thinking of getting a Lagotto female in the future-we have had 3(35 years of Goldens)dearly love them-but are so concerned the amount of cancer in the breed-are considering getting a smaller dog-we love to hike(own a place in the mtns of colorado)snow shoe-not show a dog-a loving family dog- that I could have as a therapy dog-sweet personality and calm with children-anyway-thanks-Carlo is adorable- we took a walk with him and were really impressed with the breed-he will have the best home with the Lohmillers- Karen Frankel

We have had a Portuguese Water Dog in the past and loved him very much. A friend told us about this breed and we think they are very appealing also. It is hard to find breeders in the Washington DC area though. Also, we are wondering about the price.
